Oh hey! So I didn't die. I just kind of dropped art for like nine months to get my personal problems worked out.
Anydangways, enough of that. Beware, crybabies of deviantart, for superbadartist is back behind the wheel of her soul-crushing 1977 Chevy Nova, and we are both ready to BRINGIT.
Yeah, so I'm gonna start doing critiques again. C:

I am no great artist. I don't think I'm better than you. The art world has a disease, and I'm trying to cure it. This mission isn't for fame, it's for what I hold dear.
I think that it's wonderful that there's someone out there who'll tell people that they have to improve, without being afraid of their reactions. I've looked over so many pieces of "art" and thought "I want to throw this in the trash!!", but I don't say anything. Seeing someone like you is a huge relief, in a way.
I actually had a gfight with my oyfriend once...he kept insisting that my art was good, but I didn't want to hear it. I've always heard "It's so good!" and it's tiring. I asked him "Are you being HONEST-honest, or BOYFRIEND-honest?" Those who're close to you can't bring themselves to critique, for fear of hurting you or getting you angry with them.
Being told you need to improve is something you want to know, even if you don't want to HEAR it. And people need to be told.
I'm not God of Art, but I know when I see bad art (I see it every time I put my pencil to the paper). I can't find a word to describe how grateful I am to people like you who'll tell people what they need to know.
Keep spreading your wisdom.

Damon Baird is the most amazing cynic in the fucking world.
"There we go, one muzzled queen! But not you, her. You were great, I loved your speech there, especially the bitch-ass stuff. Very good, very enlightening."

I've been reading up on the recent controversy, and while I don't know what to say (or rather don't want to say it, and I don't agree w/z some of your opinions), I'd like you to citique me if you'd like. I will answer, but you might not agree with me.

Could you please offer some critique on the visuals in this piece: [link]
It may be fanart but still, crits would be appreciated on it.
And for your information, the fucktards who tell you to get a life will never grow to be good. you're completely right and they need to stop being crybabies.
With HUGE love, TB
